The thought of Fati joining the Hammers is an incredibly exciting one, in spite of his poor recent form.
However, it seems as though David Moyes will really have his work cut-out…
Ansu Fati finally breaks his silence amidst strong links to West Ham
It seems as though the Spain international will not be going anywhere in the summer transfer window.
Mundo Deportivo quote Fati as saying:
“I have a contract with Barca and my intention is to continue improving and growing there. That is my intention. I have a contract and I am happy. Both in my club and in the national team.”
So that may well be all she wrote, unless Barcelona force him out of the Camp Nou of course.
That’s a real shame, because Ansu Fati would have been a hugely exciting addition to Moyes’s ranks at West Ham. He has been described as a special young player by Eurosport.
The 20-year-old possesses electric pace, exceptional skill and a really intelligent football brain that defies his tender years.
He has bagged 29 goals and 10 assists in 109 games for Barcelona (Transfermarkt) – a pretty decent return for someone so young.
Forbes claim that he could be available for around €70 million (£60 million) this summer. It looks like he’ll be staying at Barcelona for at least one more season though.
Oh well, it was a nice thought while it lasted.
