Gianluca Scamacca’s ‘agents working on Roma transfer with West Ham ready to let the £35.5m flop to leave after just one season’
- West Ham are willing to sanction a summer sale for Gianluca Scamacca
- The out-of-favour Italian has endured a torrid debut first season in London
- Serie A side Roma is the most likely destination for the 24-year-old striker
Gianluca Scamacca’s agents are reportedly working hard to facilitate a move for the forward to Roma this summer.
Scamacca joined West Ham last summer for £35.5million but had a disappointing first season which was disrupted by injuries.
Both Milan clubs have also been linked with the goalscorer but Roma are interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy, according to Sky Italia.
The Hammers would prefer a permanent deal and want to recuperate as much of their original fee as possible.
Any funds from the sale of Scamacca would be given to David Moyes, who will need to bolster his attack this summer.

There have been rumours of a potential swap deal involving Rick Karsdorp, the Netherlands right back who previously fell out with Roma manager Jose Mourinho.
Scamacca, who was in Prague last week to pick up a Europa Conference League medal, is currently holidaying but has been posting pictures of himself on social media keeping fit.
He scored three Premier League goals and five in the Conference League across the 2022-23 season.
