Declan Rice has changed his Twitter picture and bio and it looks like a goodbye to West Ham as Arsenal and Man City ramp up the battle for his signature.
There have been major developments in the tussle between Arsenal and Man City for West Ham captain Declan Rice today.
Transfer reporters David Ornstein and Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news earlier that Manchester City will today launch a bid for West Ham talisman Rice.
It comes after Arsenal saw two unsatisfactory offers dismissed by West Ham.
Man City’s interest has always loomed large over Arsenal’s attempts to sign Rice from the Hammers.
Gunners supporters – like fans and indeed the board at West Ham – are frustrated with their club’s all too familiar low ball approach to the Rice negotiations.

But Arsenal have always been comforted by claims from The Sun earlier this month that Rice ‘has his heart set on a move to the Emirates’.
Fabrizio Romano blew that theory out of the water earlier, saying that is not the case and that the West Ham hero is open to a move to Man City.
West Ham fans have known for well over a year that Rice would be leaving this summer. Not that it makes it any easier to swallow.
Whether you are Arsenal, Man City or West Ham – all eyes are on this deal right now and it has been the talk of the Premier League window so far.
Now Rice has changed his Twitter picture and bio and it looks like a goodbye to West Ham as Arsenal and Man City ramp up the battle.
Rice’s bio on the social media platform previously listed West Ham, England and Adidas. But that has now been removed with just the contact email for his representatives remaining.
His profile picture remains of him kissing the Europa Conference League trophy West Ham won earlier this month.
Nobody said this would be easy – breaking up is hard to do
But his banner picture has been changed to a graphic charting each of his six seasons in the West Ham first team.
Each one shows his progression and the different kit as Rice celebrates, kissing the West Ham badge in one and thumping it in another.
And it finishes with an image of him holding the European trophy with the London Stadium as the backdrop for the brilliant image.
It feels very much like a homage and tribute to his time at West Ham.
Obviously Rice will deliver an emotional official goodbye to Hammers fans and the club when he does depart.
But this is very much the first and biggest signal yet that he is preparing to say farewell as Arsenal and Man City look to win the race for his signature.
The image is fantastic but will bring a tear to the eye of even the most hardened Hammer.
