Brighton are among the clubs keen on Leeds United’s £25m-rated midfielder Tyler Adams, along with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
The midfielder could be handed a Premier League lifeline after Leeds relegation to the Championship, after being one of the Yorkshire club’s better performers in a dismal season.
Adams joined Leeds from RB Leipzig last summer as a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, and would make 26 appearances for the club before a hamstring injury ended his season early.
He had to have surgery on the injured hamstring and it meant Adams missed the final 12 games of the season, as the club went through both Javi Gracia and Sam Allardyce as boss before being relegated on the final day.
Despite Leeds dropping down a division, Tyler’s performances have attracted Premier League interest and it could see the midfielder make an instant return to the top flight.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi would be interested in bringing Adams to the Amex
Brighton are the latest club to register their interest in Adams, with Roberto De Zerbi seeing him as a potential replacement for Moises Caicedo, who’s set to leave the club this summer.
The Seagulls are weighing up a £25million move for the American, but could face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Upon signing for Leeds, the 24-year-old signed a five-year deal with the club, giving them some leverage in any move out of Elland Road. However, a release clause may have come active in his contract following their relegation.
Adams became USA’s youngest captain since 1950 when he skippered the team in Qatar
Adams has 36 caps for his country and captained them at the 2022 World Cup, becoming the youngest player to wear the armband for the USA since 1950.
He could be one of a number of big name departures from Leeds this summer, with the future unclear for several players including Rodrigo, Wilfried Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra, Illan Meslier and Patrick Bamford.
The club are still nowhere nearer naming a permanent successor to Javi Gracia, with Patrick Vieira and Daniel Farke the leading candidates for the role.
