There are more whispers over Saudi interest in Mo Salah, while Liverpool are hoping there are deals to be done over a Real Madrid midfielder and a Juventus forward…
ARSENAL TO INCREASE RICE OFFER AMID CITY INTEREST
Panic stations at Arsenal? Perhaps not just yet, but Manchester City’s decision to move for Declan Rice seems to have prompted the Gunners into action…
The Daily Mail says Arsenal will be back at West Ham’s door as quickly as they can cobble together a third bid for the England midfielder, an offer that should be closer to the Hammers’ asking price. The last deal proposed was worth a total of £90million, with £75million guaranteed. West Ham have always been clear that they expect £100million for their captain, and a player Mikel Arteta views as a future Arsenal skipper.
With City hovering, Arsenal will come up towards £100million. Manchester United are also sniffing, though it’s hard to take them seriously at the moment. Apparently, United have put the feelers out about a deal involving £40million in cash, plus Harry Maguire and Anthony Elanga.
Arsenal can be comforted by the fact that Rice still prefers Arsenal, according to The Guardian, though the 24-year-old would doubtless get on board with the idea of joining the Treble winners if City blow the Gunners out of the water.
SALAH NEXT ON SAUDI LIST
Bernardo Silva seems to be creeping closer to Saudi, especially in light of the Daily Mail report that Al Hilal have the budget to offer a salary worth more than £75million a season – not far shy of £1.5million a week.
Which could be enough to turn Mo Salah’s head. The Saudi’s certainly hope so…
According to AS, the Liverpool star is one of the next names on PIF’s list list of transfer targets as they seek to rid the Pro League of its image as the world’s most lavish retirement home for veteran stars.

MBAPPE TO REAL IS ON AS REDS EYE FRANCE STAR
Signing Kylian Mbappe would certainly achieve that but, like Romelu Lukaku, the France star has no intention of heading to Saudi just yet. He is set to be on the move this summer, though.
Mbappe told PSG that he won’t renew his contract next summer but has since reiterated that he won’t be going anywhere this year. Which doesn’t suit PSG. They want him gone now if it is the only way to avoid losing their biggest asset for nothing.
Mbappe’s obvious destination is Real Madrid, but Florentino Perez has tried to kid us all that they are done in the market this summer after signing Jude Bellingham and Joselu. However, reports in France suggest a deal is still in the offing than could fetch PSG £215million, with £43million in add-ons.
That being true, Real could be more open to Liverpool’s approach for Aurelien Tchouameni. El Nacional says the Reds have offered £55million for the France midfielder, which fell way below Real’s initial valuation of £80million.
Liverpool are also said to be looking for a deal over Federico Chiesa. Gazzetta dello Sport reckons the Merseysiders have proposed a deal worth £34million for the Italy winger but Juventus are demanding a fee of £51million.
