The worst Irons pundit of all
There are good and bad in all worlds of course but punditry is another business altogether.
It’s more a case of who is the worst of the worst in the Hammers world and until earlier this week I had Simon Jordan firmly at the bottom of mine with his snidey remarks towards West Ham chairman David Sullivan the reason.
How a bloke who led a club into administration can criticise another who was in charge when they won a European final is bizarre to put it mildly.
However, in the same week the appallingly ill informed Danny Murphy demonstrated an amazing ability to totally misunderstand the relationship between Declan Rice and the Hammers fans with a disgraceful suggestion
He went as far as to suggest that a man who has been fabulous for us and maintained a wonderful relationship with the fans should demand a transfer – next door to going on strike!
Declan has conducted himself with grace and goodwill throughout his time with the club and despite our disappointment at his leaving he will be wished nothing but the best by the majority of us as a result. That would be totally undone were he to go down the Murphy road.
It was a shocking suggestion – not his first by a long chalk but certainly his worst by many moons and we present him with the seven wooden spoons shown above as a result.
