Jack Grealish likes another Man City related Declan Rice post on social media as West Ham co-owner David Sullivan faces a tough Arsenal call.
On Friday Hammers News highlighted that Declan Rice’s bromance with Jack Grealish could help sway the battle between Manchester City and Arsenal for the West Ham captain.
Whether that proves to be the case remains to be seen, but Man City’s £100m man is certainly doing his bit to suggest Rice should snub Arsenal.
There has been a flurry of speculation over the last 48 hours as Arsenal and Manchester City battle for Hammers hero Rice.
Transfer reporters David Ornstein and Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news that Manchester City will imminently launch a bid to rival the Gunners for West Ham’s £100m man.
Ilkay Gundogan’s departure to Barcelona on a free transfer has sparked Pep Guardiola into action.

Then Sky Sports made a massive claim on Rice’s future in the last 48 hours, reporting that Man City had made a major breakthrough in the battle with Arsenal and were confident of a deal after West Ham talks.
Reporter Michael Bridge even stated on Sky Sports News at 12.04pm on Friday that he had been told the Rice deal is ‘approaching the end game’.
The pendulum swung in Arsenal’s direction again yesterday, though. The Gunners were handed a monumental boost when a confidant of David Sullivan revealed Man City are genuinely interested but Rice is ‘determined’ to join Arsenal.
That directly contradicted a claim from Fabrizio Romano that Rice does not have his heart set solely on a move to Arsenal.
One Man City star is determined to help Rice changed his mind, though, it seems.
Grealish likes another Man City related Rice post on social media as West Ham co-owner Sullivan faces a tough Arsenal call.
Earlier this week Grealish liked a video celebrating the connection between Man City and West Ham.
Now he has liked another post from a popular Man City fan account of their starting XI next season with Rice in the side.
“Realistic what’s stopping this team from wining the Champions League back to back,” the post says alongside the line-up with Rice and Rodri in midfield alongside Mateo Kovacic behind Grealish, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland.
Rice stance and superior Man City terms give Sullivan a difficult decision to make
Usually players are very careful what they say and do on social media when it comes to transfers.
So Grealish, given the friendship between him and West Ham’s skipper, clearly knows what he is doing.
Just like many people believed Bukayo Saka knew what he was doing with his own social media post to Rice last week.
The problem is West Ham face a tough Arsenal call in the coming days and weeks.
Man City’s reported offer betters Arsenal’s and crucially would be paid in two big instalments instead of being spread out over a number of years as most transfers are.
But if Rice really does only want Arsenal then West Ham may be forced to pander to his wishes and accept what is a worse deal for the club. Unless the Gunners can be persuaded to match Man City’s terms of course.
As we pointed out yesterday, though, don’t expect anything concrete to happen in the next few days.
Because Sullivan is currently taking a break on a £40m superyacht with his fiancee.
