Lucas Hernandez has been told he is ‘not welcome’ by the Paris Saint-Germain ultras as he closes in on a move to the Ligue 1 champions.
The Bayern Munich defender is expected to seal a £34million move to the French capital this summer, but apparently, his arrival will not be celebrated amongst all the club’s supporters.
The PSG ultras have been known to make their feelings clear, as shown by the hostile reception they have given Neymar and Lionel Messi in recent years.
Now though it looks like Hernandez will receive a hostile reception from some quarters, thanks to his links with the club’s deadly rivals Marseille.
Taking to Instagram, Romain Mabille, the leader of the group told the 27-year-old that he is unwanted in Paris and that the fans will ‘let him know’ that’s the case.

Hernandez links to Marseille stem from the defender being born in the French city, and his father, Jean-Francois, playing for Olympique Marseille during the 1990s.

What’s more, fans have not forgotten Hernandez’s actions when he was part of the Munich team that beat PSG in the 2020 Champions League Final.
They accused him of rubbing the victory in their faces because if his links to Marseille, even though Hernandez has claimed there was malice in his celebrations.
Despite being born in France, Hernandez grew up in Spain from the age of four and if he completes the move to PSG will be the first time he’s played club football in his home country.
Whereas his father was a centre-back for Marseille between 1995 and 1997 before moving on to Compostela in Spain.
Hernandez began his career at Atletico Madrid, before moving to Bayern in 2019 for a then club record fee of £68million.
In his time in Germany he has won four Bundesliga titles and the Champions League, but hasn’t played for the club since injuring his knee in France’s World Cup opener against Australia in Qatar last winter.
