Hammer facing the exit door
en Johnson looks likely to leave the club this summer with Everton among the clubs interested in the Hammers utility man.
With his contract running out in June of next year, the Hammers are ready to let the player move on after a season which saw him make just 17 Premier League appearances.
David Moyes preferred both Vladi Coufal and Thilo Kehrer in the right back position whenever possible and there have been no serious talks about the young Iron’s future at the club.
Johnson’s form has seen talks halted
Those have been on hold for several months in fact with a source admitting to Claret and Hugh that the player’s form was the main reason.
According to transfermarket the 23 year old is valued at €10 million and Everton boss Sean Dyche is understood to be a keen admirer of his defensive abilities and that he can play on both sides of the back line and also as a wing back.
He could certainly be on the move along with Declan Rice and Manu Lanzini thus bringing the squad down to 22 with room for three new arrivals.
And it could see the money raised from the three players to around £140 million if all goes to plan!
