Goncalo Ramos was recently offered to West Ham but Benfica Rui Costa president believes Manchester United will be best placed to sign him.
According to Record (print edition June 28th, page 10), Manchester United will be able to meet the €80 million (£69 million) valuation of West Ham target Goncalo Ramos.

The 22-year-old was allegedly offered to West Ham recently by super agent Jorge Mendes.
With Hammers boss David Moyes on the hunt for an elite centre-forward, Ramos would be the perfect signing for us in the summer transfer window.
However, it appears as though Man United will be be a big problem for the East London outfit…

And that’s a huge blow for the Hammers. Ramos is my number one striker choice this summer.
He bagged 27 goals and 12 assists in 47 games for Benfica this season just gone (Transfermarkt).
The Portuguese starlet has absolutely everything needed to succeed in the modern game, and more importantly, the ferociously paced Premier League, what with its physical nature.
Ramos is quick along the ground, powerful, strong in the air and is a superb finisher, as well as being a willing runner.
The Sun have described the Benfica hitman as a ‘phenomenal’ striker, and they’re bang on money – he really is an elite player.
If Manchester United sign Goncalo Ramos, they will be getting a serious player. And it will be a case of what might have been for West Ham.
