Tottenham Hotspur confirms seven stars have left the club on a free
According to The Daily Mail, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have released seven players after their contracts with the club expired at the end of June.
The Ange Postecoglou era is set to dawn in north London and an overhaul of the roster is in process. The departures indicate a busy window for Daniel Levy and co, oh in terms of departures and signings.
While none of the seven players released can be considered bonafide starters, it does include former Paris Saint-Germain ace Lucas Moura. The Brazilian will always be remembered for his heroics in our 2018-19 UEFA Champions League campaign. However, his impact at the club was waning and it is now the right time for both parties to part ways.
The exit list also includes youngster Romain Mundle, who Tottenham were keen to retain. The 20-year-old however failed to pen an extension and will now join Belgian giants Standard Liege. Whether it is a departure that we will come to regret remains to be seen.
Other players on the departure list include Jamie Bowden, Kallum Cesay, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Roshaun Mathurin, and Marques Muir. We wish them all the best as they set off on new adventures.
Tottenham have also been busy bringing in players this summer. Transfer activity has picked up pace following Postecoglou’s arrival and three players are already on board.
Dejan Kulusevski’s loan was made permanent while Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison were brought in to reinforce the goalkeeping and number 10 spots. That is a strong beginning to the summer and hopefully, we build on that because we really need to be in an around the top-four next season.

Next up is the centre-back spot and we need to bring in at least one player to reinforce the rearguard. Edmond Tapsoba and Micky Van de Ven have been touted as potential additions. Who we end up signing remains to be seen.
