West Ham want extra Rice/Arsenal clauses
West Ham continue to fight some battles with Arsenal as they look to complete the payment structure for the Declan Rice transfer by tomorrow (Mon).
Beyond agreement on the time by which the fee will be paid, the Hammers also have other issues which they want included in the final agreement with the Gooners.
Rice deal closer but extra clauses wanted by West Ham
The major issue is that we want a year to 18 month agreement with the north London outfit looking at a four year agreement although a source said: “We are gradually getting closer and hope things are done by Monday.”
However, beyond that the Irons will be looking at other clauses to be inserted plus a realistic payment on such issues as Rice helping the Gooners to a top four finish.
And they will also want a sell on clause in the event of a further transfer from the Emirates for the player later in his career.
Meanwhile, Rice will need to fly back from a Dubai holiday for a medical once agreement is reached.
