Things hotting up for Zakaria

Things are beginning to hot up regarding the possible acquisition of defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria as it is being reported that both the Irons and RC Lens have made bids for the Juventus midfielder.

The website Tutto Juve have claimed that our bid for the 26 year old was £5m shy of the £20m valuation attached to the player by the Italian giants

Zakaria has been out of favour for a while and it appears that West Ham may well be keen to sign a player with a very decent reputation. It is also worth pointing out that Torino are under scrutiny from UEFA regarding FFP and really do need the cash so maybe finger crossed all round on this one.

The Hammers normally put in a lower bid than being sought initially by selling clubs but if they are serious – as seems to be the case – will undoubtedly up it later on.
