Tottenham reach verbal agreement to sign Manor Solomon
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement to sign talented young attacker Manor Solomon on a free transfer.
According to Romano’s tweet, the personal terms between the player and the club have been settled, with a medical examination scheduled to take place next week. If all goes well, Solomon will don the famous Lilywhite jersey next season.
Tottenham’s interest in the Israeli winger was piqued during his loan spell at Fulham, where he showcased his exceptional skills on the pitch. The club’s decision-makers were thoroughly impressed by his performances and wasted no time in pursuing him.
The opportunity to sign Solomon arose due to FIFA’s rules regarding foreign nationals employed in Ukraine and Russia. Shakhtar Donetsk, Solomon’s current club, were left fuming by FIFA’s decision to allow players to unilaterally suspend their contracts in light of the ongoing conflict between the two nations.
This rule change opened the door for Tottenham to swoop in and secure the services of the highly talented winger. Daniel Levy is too clever an operator to let such an opportunity pass in the transfer market.
Shakhtar’s CEO, Sergei Palkin, expressed his displeasure at the situation, even threatening legal action against Tottenham should they proceed with the signing. However, this did not deter Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
With personal terms now agreed upon, all eyes will be on Palkin to see if he follows through on his threats. Nevertheless, Tottenham fans are filled with excitement at the prospect of witnessing Manor Solomon‘s flair and creativity on the pitch.
The Israeli winger’s ability to mesmerise defenders with his technical skills and lightning-quick pace could prove to be a game-changer for the Lilywhites. He adds a different dimension to our attack.
