Ange Postecoglou not looking to get any Celtic players to Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is not looking to sign any players from Celtic in the ongoing transfer window, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.
The Australian’s experiences in Asia helped him bring the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate to the Glasgow-based club. At the Scottish outfit, the two thrived under the management of the current Spurs gaffer.
With Postecoglou’s arrival in the North London side’s dugout, as per The Sun, the two Japanese stars have been linked with the Lilywhites. Cameron Carter-Vickers has also been associated with a return to the N17.
However, reuniting with his former Celtic players is not on the 57-year-old’s agenda as things stand. It will be interesting to see whether the Australian will change his mind in the coming weeks.
Celtic had just lost the league title to bitter rivals Rangers before the arrival of Postecoglou from Yokohama F. Marinos. The gaffer brought with him Furuhashi and Hatate, who played for Vissel Kobe and Kawasaki Frontale in the J1 League.
Subsequently, the Australian spent two successful years at the Glasgow-based club. The 57-year-old won the league title back-to-back with the Scottish outfit before making his way to Tottenham.
Postecoglou’s arrival marks a new era at the North London side. The gaffer has already been handed the services of the likes of Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison. Monor Solomon is also close to making a switch to Spurs.
Last season was a write-off for Tottenham. Antonio Conte failed to make any progress with the team. Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason also underwhelmed. We ended up finishing eighth in the league table.

Hopefully, Postecoglou will be able to turn things around at the North London side. However, it looks like the Australian is not going to count on any of his former players to make life easier at Spurs.
