Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top-class central defender this summer.
Kurt Zouma continues to struggle with injury problems whilst Angelo Ogbonna probably only has one season remaining at the very highest level.
And let’s not forget, Craig Dawson was sold in January without being replaced. So a move to sign the Chelsea defender would certainly make sense…
Trevoh Chalobah linked with surprise summer move from Chelsea to West Ham
90min reckon that the Hammers face competition from Newcastle for the Chelsea ace’s signature this summer.
The 24-year-old could be available for around £25 million this summer (Daily Mail).
Described as an ‘incredible’ defender by Football.London, Chalobah would be a very solid addition for the Hammers.
In 25 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season, the centre-back averaged 1.2 tackles, one interception and 2.2 clearances per game (Who Scored).
Chalobah is incredibly quick along the ground, is strong in the tackle and has great anticipation skills.
For just £25 million, I think bringing him to the London Stadium will be an absolute no-brainer for David Moyes this summer.
Whether West Ham are able to beat Newcastle to the signing of Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea remains to be seen though.
