Enzo Maresca admits Leicester City could sell Tottenham Hotspur-linked Harvey Barnes
Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has admitted that the Foxes could sell some of their stars amidst Tottenham Hotspur being linked with Harvey Barnes.
Spurs have the England international on their radar. However, the North London side are not alone, with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham United also interested in the 25-year-old.
Speaking to the media via Leicestershire Live, Maresca, who was recently appointed in charge of the King Power Stadium side, has not ruled out exits in the ongoing transfer window from the East Midlands-based club.
“The market is open, anything can happen. We can bring in players, but at the same time, we can sell players.”
As things stand, Barnes prefers a move to the Villa Park side. However, the likes of Newcastle and West Ham can also offer him European football next season, something Tottenham cannot do.
However, the North London side are one of the most well-established teams in England at the moment. While we are not in the best of moments, Spurs have been better than the other three clubs in recent history.
Last season, Barnes was Leicetser’s leading goalscorer in the Premier League, finding the back of the net 13 times in 32 appearances. The 25-year-old is a full-fledged international. Thus, it would not be a surprise to see him wanting a move away from the Championship.
However, at Tottenham, there is an abundance of talent up front. Harry Kane and Son Heun-min have been world-class for the North London side over the years.
Ange Postecoglou can also call upon Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison. Spurs are also set to sign Manor Solomon, who was on loan at Fulham in the 2022/23 campaign.

As things stand, Tottenham have enough quality in the forward areas. Therefore, before going after Barnes, it would evidently be wise of us to bolster the other areas of the pitch, mainly the defence.
