West Ham first team coach Paul Nevin is set to join Patrick Vieira at Strasbourg.
The Hammers have this morning confirmed Nevin’s departure, with the the expectation that the respected coach will join Vieira at the Ligue 1 side.
Nevin’s departure comes as a blow to head coach David Moyes, who relied heavily on his expertise.
But the opportunity for a new challenge in France alongside Vieira is understood to have been too good to refuse for Nevin.
Moyes said: ‘Paul has played an important role for us during his time here and I would like to thank him for all his support and hard work during his time at West Ham United.

Nevin added: ‘I’ll always look back on my time and the opportunity I had to work at West Ham with great fondness.
‘In the three and a half years, we enjoyed a period of great success in West Ham’s history, culminating in the Europa Conference League win last season, which gives the Club a fantastic opportunity and platform to go on to even greater levels in the future.
‘I’d like to thank all the players I’ve coached and all the staff that I’ve had the honour to work alongside during this period.
‘I wish the club every success in the future and look forward to following West Ham’s successes from afar.’
