Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer, with Declan Rice set to join Arsenal.
And out of all the transfer news this summer, links with Chelsea’s Gallagher have been the strongest so far.
However, it seems as though Moyes will face a tough task if he is to bring him to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window…
West Ham transfer plan ruined as Chelsea make big U-turn on Conor Gallagher
So talkSPORT reckon that Chelsea are now prepared to give Gallagher a big chance to prove his worth at Stamford Bridge.
That is quite the turnaround from the Blues, after it was reported that they wanted to sell him just last month.
And what a shame it will be for West Ham to miss out on Gallagher – he would have been a really positive addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
He has incredible energy, drive, passion, determination and commitment to the cause. On top of all that as well, Gallagher is incredibly gifted from a technical perspective.
Football.London have described the 23-year-old as an ‘incredible’ player and they’re absolutely spot on.
He possesses all of the attributes that we’ll be missing in the middle of the park with Declan Rice.
So with that in mind, Chelsea deciding to give another chance to Conor Gallagher is definitely bad news for West Ham.
