Report: Harry Kane to inform Tottenham Hotspur of his Bayern Munich decision
Harry Kane is apparently set to inform Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou of his decision to join Bayern Munich.
The German giants, as per Sport1 (h/t the Express), are believed to be the sole contenders in the race to sign the 29-year-old. The player is also open to a move and will inform Ange Postecoglou of his decision in a direct meeting.
Bayern are in the market for a striker this summer after failing to properly replace Robert Lewandowski in 2022. Sadio Mane’s move from Liverpool has proven to be a mixed bag.
One way to guarantee goals by the bucketload once again is to sign Kane, who is England and Tottenham’s all-time leading goal-scorer. It remains to be seen what Daniel Levy feels about this particular situation.
Kane to Bayern?
This could be a good way out for him. It has been previously claimed that he wouldn’t sell Kane to an English rival. That would certainly be a nightmare scenario for any Tottenham fan.
Now that a German club has come to the fore, it could be the time for us to cash in on Kane — as painful as it sounds. He is in the final year of his contract at the club.
It’s either this or losing him for nothing in 2024 if he doesn’t pen fresh terms. Getting a huge sum for the England international could then help us re-invest in another prolific striker.
