- Kylian Mbappe has stated his intention to leave PSG at the end of his contract
- Club chiefs are adamant the star must leave this summer or extend his deal
- Mbappe is set to pocket large bonuses if he opts to stay in Paris for another year
The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is set to rumble on thanks to disagreements over the player’s projected purse should he leave the Parc des Princes next year.
The 24-year-old caused a stir at the club last month when he made it clear he did not wish to extend the lucrative deal he signed in 2022.
The news prompted PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi to reject the idea the French champions would allow their prize asset leave for nothing in 12 months time.
In reality the Parisian’s will have no recourse against the World Cup winner running down his deal and according to Marca, Mbappe has little incentive to forgo the vast sums of money headed his way.
The outlet reports that the player has ‘no urgency’ to move this summer unless he is guaranteed money owed to him by his current club, plus the large signing bonus he can expect to fetch next year.

Thanks to the eye-watering extension he signed to stay with PSG, Mbappe is set to pocket a mammoth loyalty bonus, believed to be in the region of £68m according to El Pais, if he stays with the club for another year.
Ligue 1’s leading marksman could also bag £51m if he were to extend his contract before July 31.
Therefore, an offer that would reflect those sums is would be estimated to be in the region of £171m, effectively ruling out almost every club in world football, including Real Madrid, who the striker is expected to join when all is said and done.
Luis Enrique reportedly sought assurances over his control of the PSG squad before joining
PSG are believed to be pushing hard to persuade the former Monaco man to commit his future to the club, just as they sensationally did in the 11th hour last May.
But no developments are expected before the end of this month, when the player is due back for the start of pre-season training under new boss Luis Enrique.
The Spaniard reportedly sought assurances he would be given full control over the players in his squad at Paris Saint-Germain before agreeing to take the gig.
According to PSG Community journalist Max Miotto, Enrique, who signed a two-year contract with the team, remains open to including Mbappe in his plans for the upcoming season despite ongoing uncertainty over his future.
