The East London outfit have been heavily linked with a move to sign McTominay, 26, this summer, and the same can be said for the 30-year-old Man United centre-back.
Hammers boss David Moyes obviously needs to bolster his central defensive and central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
So it’s easy to see why the Scot is keen to sign the Man United pair…
Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay could be West Ham bound in stunning £60 million double deal
Ross Harwood claims that both Manchester United players are firmly on the radar of the Hammers this summer.
If Moyes really wants the England and Scotland internationals though, he will have to part with £60 million for the pair.
I actually rate both players very highly, and I think they’d be huge additions to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
McTominay is full of energy, power and athleticism. He is a very tenacious tackler and would add some real bite to our central midfield.
Meanwhile, Maguire is one of the very best centre-backs in world football when playing in a deep back-line – it’s why he’s struggled with Man United but excelled when playing for Leicester.
The 30-year-old is also very good when playing in a three – something he has often done with England.
If West Ham manage to sign McTominay and Maguire this summer, we would definitely be a stronger team, despite what some of our fans might tell you.
I just can’t see the Hammers paying £60 million for the Manchester United duo though. Perhaps somewhere closer to £50 million would represent decent value for us.
