Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to table a sensational two-player swap deal for Bernardo Silva, with the Parisian’s set to ‘offer Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma’ for the Man City star.
Speculation has started to build that the 28-year-old could be on his way out of the Etihad, with Silva being linked to several clubs, with Mail Sport previously reporting that Al Hilal had offered him a contract that was worth £75million-per-season.
Barcelona were another side who had re-igniting their long-standing interest in the midfielder last week, with his £150,000-per-week contract set to expire in 2025. Meanwhile, City have upped their attempts to keep him, offering him a new and improved contract.
But according to Foot Mercato, Luis Enrique’s side are hoping to prise the Champions League winning midfielder away from Pep Guardiola’s side by offering two esteemed members of their squad, Verratti and Donnarumma.
With Ilkay Gundogan today being unveiled by Barcelona, Verratti would certainly help to replenish their midfield stocks, while Donnarumma would also provide some competition to Ederson in goal.

The outlet claims that ‘optimism is in order for PSG, especially as the player is willing to join the French capital’ while claiming that the club’s sporting director, Luis Campos, has been ‘testing the waters’ with City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, by floating the names of several players they could do a swap with.
The outlet claim that Man City’s response was a ‘quick categorical refusal’ but also say that ‘discussions will continue’.
It will certainly take some work to prise the Portuguese midfielder away from Guardiola’s side, with Silva being a pivotal member of Guardiola’s treble winning side this year.

He joined the club from Monaco back in 2017 in a £43m move and has gone on to return 55 goals and 59 assists in 306 games across all competitions for the Citizens.
This season alone he’s been a stand out for City, scoring seven goals in 55 games, proving pivotal in their Champions League final victory against Inter Milan.
Earlier on this year, PSG had identified him as their primary target, after Lionel Messi’s departure.
Interestingly, Mail Sport has previously reported that City would only be interested in selling Silva to PSG if they included emerging young star Warren Zaire-Emery in return, with City’s valuation of Silva set at approximately £70m.
