Despite having a list of midfield targets, Liverpool are not currently pursuing a deal for Moroccan defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer.
The African star has gained attention after impressive performances in the World Cup and for Fiorentina this season, attracting interest from top clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds have not intensified their interest in Amrabat as they continue to search for a replacement for Fabinho.
United now have an opportunity to secure a £25 million transfer for Amrabat, as it appears that Liverpool are not actively pursuing the Moroccan star.

While the Reds have shown interest in Romeo Lavia and Ryan Gravenberch, it seems that Amrabat is not a player they will be pursuing at the moment. This has potentially opened the door for United to make a move for the midfielder.
Liverpool’s recent signings have focused on attacking and creative players, such as Mac Allister and Szoboszlai. However, acquiring Amrabat would provide them with a defensive midfielder to add balance to their squad.
It is clear that Liverpool have not pursued their initial interest in Amrabat, especially considering his qualities and suitability for the Premier League.

On the surface, Amrabat appears to be a quality midfielder who can thrive in the Premier League, making him an ideal fit for Liverpool.
If he does end up joining Man United, it will be intriguing to see how he performs. If he excels, Liverpool fans may wonder why their club did not make a move for him.
