West Ham United reportedly view Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher as their number one target to replace Declan Rice.
According to a report from Tuttomercato, signing Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher as a Declan Rice replacement is the priority for West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Hammers manager David Moyes obviously needs to sign a top-class midfielder this summer.
And it seems as though Gallagher is the man he wants…
Surprise Conor Gallagher claim emerges as West Ham continue hunt for Declan Rice replacement
Tuttomercato reckon that the Chelsea man is the number one target for Moyes to replace Dec this summer.
Now, Gallagher is a fine player and would be a very useful addition for the Hammers in my opinion.
However, the 23-year-old is in no way good enough to be a Declan Rice replacement, and he doesn’t even play the same role as the ex-West Ham man.
Gallagher is far more of an attacking midfielder and doesn’t have the discipline to sit and protect the back four.
I actually would like West Ham to sign Conor Gallagher, but only if he is brought in alongside a top-class defensive midfielder – someone like Sofyan Amrabat.
The Chelsea ace would definitely improve us, but let’s not kid ourselves here. Gallagher is not fit to lace Dec’s boots.
Hopefully Moyes has another marquee name up his sleeve…
