The striker David Moyes has twice tried to bring to West Ham is back on the radar as report makes a new Youssef En-Nesyri claim.
West Ham are being linked with a host of strikers this summer transfer window and as they say ‘there’s no smoke without fire’.
We reported on Hammers News earlier this week about claims David Moyes wants to completely overhaul his attack this summer and rebuild it around Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
West Ham have already missed out on reported target Viktor Gyokeres – who Moyes personally scouted extensively last season – as a result of the delay in the Declan Rice deal.
The futures of Gianluca Scamacca, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are all uncertain.
And there are claims at least two of them could leave to make way for a new number one forward at the London Stadium.
Now a name familiar to West Ham fans is once again an alleged target.
A striker Moyes has twice tried to bring to West Ham is back on the radar as report makes a new Youssef En-Nesyri claim.
It was reported earlier this year that Moyes was prioritising a move to bring 26-year-old Moroccan striker to West Ham this summer.
In fact, West Ham have chased the Sevilla hitman since January 2021, twice seeing approaches rebutted.
There was bad news for West Ham regarding their pursuit of Broja yesterday.
Now Football Insider claims the other name on West Ham’s hit list is that man En-Nesyri.
“West Ham are in the market for a prolific striker this summer as they prepare to allow Michail Antonio to leave the club, sources have told Football Insider…” the report states.
“It is believed long-term targets Armando Broja and Youssef En-Nesyri are on the shortlist at the London Stadium as they search for striking reinforcements.”
West Ham seriously struggled to score goals for the majority of last season as they flirted with Premier League relegation.
And though the Hammers have been free-scoring in pre-season, Moyes cannot risk being left in a similar position for the forthcoming campaign when the level of opposition and intensity ramps up.
On paper En-Nesyri has all the attributes needed to be a threat in the Prem. Especially with his aerial prowess in a Moyes team which prides itself on set-pieces.
