The East London outfit have been linked with a move to sign the 28-year-old ex-Liverpool centre-forward for quite some time now, although it was recently claimed that he didn’t want to move to East London.
However, it seems as though Hammers boss David Moyes is still trying to convince him to move to the London Stadium.
Talks have apparently begun between Origi and West Ham…
West Ham have opened talks to sign £9 million centre-forward, report claims
La Gazzetta dello Sport reckon that the Hammers are now in talks with AC Milan to sign Divock Origi this summer.
The 28-year-old former Liverpool man is a decent forward, there’s no denying that, and he’s a hard worker.
I just can’t help but think Moyes should be slightly more ambitious this summer though.
Having said that, he is available for around £9 million according to Sempre Milan, and that would represent decent value for money for West Ham.
He is certainly experienced in playing Premier League football and we know how much value Moyes places on the that.
Divock Origi would do a decent job for West Ham, and if we really have opened talks to sign him, Moyes is clearly desperate to bring him to the club.
So I guess we will just have to back the Scot in his decision if he does indeed sign the Belgian.
