PSG 0-0 Al-Nassr: Luis Enrique’s side play out drab stalemate with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian side in Japan
- PSG and Al-Nassr could not be separated in a friendly on Tuesday afternoon
- Cristiano Ronaldo started the game while PSG struggled without Kylian Mbappe
- Former Man United star Alex Telles made his first appearance for the French side
PSG and Al-Nassr produced a drab 0-0 stalemate during their friendly in Japan on Tuesday – with the French side struggling to fire without Kylian Mbappe amid doubts over his future.
The two sides were in Osaka, Japan to get more vital minutes under their belts, and while Al-Nassr prevented a third successive defeat – following a 5-0 loss to Celta Vigo and a 4-1 hammering by Benfica – PSG will be disappointed not to find the net against the Saudi Arabian side.
Cristiano Ronaldo – Al-Nassr’s main man and captain – started the game but could not make the difference for his side and was eventually replaced on 66 minutes.
Former Inter Milan midfielder Marcel Brozovic also started – with Ronaldo’s ex-Man United team-mate Alex Telles playing his first game for the club, having come on as a sub in the 54th minute.
There was a real lack of cutting edge in the game – with Ronaldo going closest in the first half after forcing Gianluigi Donnarumma into a smart save from a well-worked cross.

PSG also had a good opening in the opening 45 minutes when Noha Lemina was played in on goal by fellow youngster Warren Zaire-Emery – with the former hesitating before slotting into the side netting.
Neymar was on the bench for PSG and was not called into the action for a single minute – and the lack of attacking talent hurt PSG as Mbappe’s future continues to hang in the air.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal bid £259million for the player -who will become a free agent next summer – with PSG allowing them permission to discuss personal terms.
However, it remains unlikely Mbappe will join Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia after he appeared to laugh off suggestions he could move to the Middle East.
While Mbappe was not involved in the game, his younger brother Ethan was given a run out as he was brought on as a sub for Zaire-Emery in the 61st minute.
