- Manchester United’s Scott McTominay has emerged as a target for West Ham
- Boss David Moyes wants a midfielder after selling Declan Rice for £105million
- United manager Erik ten Hag wants between £40-50m for the powerful Scot
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has emerged as a target for West Ham as he considers his future at Old Trafford.
Hammers boss David Moyes is in the market for a holding midfielder after selling Declan Rice to Arsenal for £105million and has identified McTominay as a possible replacement.
However, it’s understood that United would demand between £40-50m for McTominay.
The Scot still has two years left on his contract, with the option to extend by another year.
United are not actively looking to sell the 26-year-old midfielder.

It is understood the Red Devils will demand a fee of £40-50m for the Scot (left, in club training)
However, he is among a group of players that includes Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial who could be sold if a big offer comes in to raise money for new signings.
West Ham have also been linked with a loan move for Maguire.
United value McTominay highly as a homegrown player who has been associated with the club since the age of five.
Manager Erik ten Hag also rates him as an important member of the squad who would need to be replaced if he left.
McTominay is also said to be open to staying at Old Trafford, but wants more first-team football after making only 10 starts in the Premier League last season.
It’s understood that he wants to assess the situation closer to the end of the transfer window so he can see where he figures in Ten Hag’s plans.
Although Fred is set to leave for Fulham, United have been playing new £60m signing Mason Mount in a deeper midfield role in pre-season.
They have also been linked with a move for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat if there is enough money left in the budget after signing a new striker.
