‘Obsessed’ Thomas Tuchel pushing to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, says Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The Italian journalist exclusively told GiveMeSport:
“Bayern will push. My expectation is to see a new bid coming in from Bayern very soon because they want the player. Thomas Tuchel, behind the scenes, is really pushing. He is obsessed with the possibility of bringing in Harry Kane.
“It’s always been Tuchel pushing for this deal. He has been pushing, internally, for Bayern to sign an important striker and to consider Harry Kane as a priority target.”
Bayern’s interest in Kane is no secret at this point. They have already had a bid rejected for the 29-year-old England international and have been told that they want more than £100million.
Kane to Bayern?
Bayern lost Robert Lewandowski last summer to Barcelona. That is a lot of goals gone from the team. The Bavarian giants signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool to add to their frontline alongside Serge Gnabry.
Eric Maxim Choupo Moting scored 17 goals in 30 games as well but it wouldn’t be wise for them to keep relying on the 34-year-old striker. They would like to think goal-scoring was a major problem for them last season.
Kane will get those for them. He is in the final year of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and it would make sense to sell him instead of losing him for absolutely nothing.

It has been said that Daniel Levy has been instructed to part with the English superstar this summer itself instead of not making a single penny on his transfer. The earlier this saga ends, the better it will be for us.
It will allow us time to figure out who we want to deploy up front in the event of Kane’s exit.
