Hammers blow as another target bites dust
West Ham is rapidly becoming the club nobody wants to join and we have suffered another big blow this afternoon that Stade Rennais left back Adrien Truffert may now be out of the picture.
There had been confidence that the Hammers were making some progress in their attempts to sign the French international.
But that looks to have bitten the dust with news coming from France that the player is believed to have agreed to sign a two year extension with Foot Mercato is claiming that the left back Truffert has agreed an extension despite interest from ourselves and Nottingham Forest.
And in a worrying comment from our best source at the London Stadium we were told a few minutes ago “Several players appear to have a reluctance to join West Ham.”
However, he added there is no panic at this stage as we have several weeks to go until the window closes!
In the meantime – reporting on the Truffert situation Foot Mercato – said: “According to our information and despite the interest of the English club (Forest), as well as that of West Ham the left back will extend to Stade Rennais for an additional two years,” .
“Good news for the Bretons who should still be able to count on their young promise.”
