Crystal Palace are in talks over an initial loan deal for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Odilon Kossounou.
Palace want a centre-back amid interest from Newcastle United in Joachim Andersen while Marc Guehi is also coveted.
Palace are trying to negotiate a loan with obligation to buy around £24million for Kossounou.
The defender is highly rated in the Bundesliga and would be a welcome addition to Palace’s defensive options this summer.

Hall is valued highly at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea keen to tie him down to a contract extension as they look to send him out on loan.
Naturally a midfielder, Hall has been utilised as a left-back during his time with the first team at Chelsea and could offer versatility for the Eagles.
Roy Hodgson’s side have already completed the signing of Matheus Franca from Flamengo for £17m plus add-ons, including £4m should he win the Ballon D’Or.
