Man City ‘set to rival Tottenham for Eberechi Eze’… with Pep Guardiola keen on the England star should they fail to sign £50m-rated Jeremy Doku
Manchester City will rival Tottenham to sign Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze if they fail to land Jeremy Doku.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been on the market for a new winger after Riyad Mahrez left the club to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.
Rennes’ Doku has been a top target for City and they reportedly agreed personal terms with the Belgian international.
However, West Ham have moved ahead of the Treble winners for Doku after submitting a bid to the Ligue 1 side.
And City will turn their attention to Eze if they fail to land the 21-year-old, according to the Independent.

Eze, 25, has caught the eye of a number of big-name clubs during his three-year spell at Selhurst Park and is once again believed to be in demand this summer.
Tottenham have been monitoring the midfielder as they look to strengthen their squad under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
The playmaker made his international breakthrough for England at the end of last season and could be in line for another milestone with a transfer.
Eze has made 94 appearances to date for Palace, scoring 15 goals and registering 11 assists, and drew plaudits for his rich vein of form under Roy Hodgson last year.
He remains under contract until 2025, meaning Palace are under no immediate pressure to sell, and Eze himself has refused to be drawn into the speculation.
‘I’m not really too bothered about that,’ Eze said of transfer links at the back end of last campaign. ‘I’m just focusing on the present.
‘I want to continue enjoying it and contributing to the team as much as I can. I’m improving every game.’
