After a sizzling second weekend of Premier League action, managers are looking to finesse their squads as the transfer window enters its final weeks.
Whilst £115m signing Moises Caicedo failed to dazzle on display in his debut for Chelsea, Liverpool’s consolation signing Wataru Endo looked the genuine article in their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.
Fulham agreed a club-record £46m fee for Aleksandar Mitrovic after ‘reluctantly’ allowing the striker to join Saudi Pro League behemoth Al-Hilal, leaving an important gap in Marco Silva’s squad after their 3-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
And West Ham’s negotiations with Ajax over the sale of starlet Mohammed Kudus grew ever more complicated, despite the forward’s desire to leave the Eredivisie side this summer.
