Liverpool consider Bayern Munich frontman Leroy Sane as a potential Mohamed Salah replacement should the latter leave for Saudi Arabia this summer.
Salah’s future at Anfield, ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline, has become the subject of much speculation of late with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad said to be pushing hard to land his coveted signature.
Despite Jurgen Klopp insisting that the Egyptian superstar is not for sale and will be staying put on Merseyside for the new season, speculation linking Salah with a move to Al-Ittihad has refused to die down.
According to a report from the Italian publication Calciomercato, it is suggested that the former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, who is currently with German champions Bayern, is on Liverpool’s shortlist of candidates to replace Salah.
It is understood that Sane will be open to a return to England and the Germany international could be interested to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds who will undoubtedly have a hard task finding a viable replacement for Salah if he decides to leave.
