Liverpool are said to be mulling over making a move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi before Friday’s transfer deadline as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his midfield options.
The Reds boss had to settle for the signing of Japan international Wataru Endo after Liverpool were snubbed by Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia with both midfielders opting to sign for rival club Chelsea.
According to a report from TeamTalk, it is claimed that the Anfield camp are looking at the Nigerian midfielder Ndidi as a top name on their shopping list with Leicester open to cashing in on the player this summer.
Ndidi is keen to call it quits at Leicester after entering the final year of his contract at the King Power Stadium and there has been no shortage of suitors for the midfielder with Bayern Munich also in the mix for his signature.
Nottingham Forest are the other Premier League club besides Liverpool keeping tabs on the Leicester man who has been a key figure for the Midlands outfit in their drop to the Championship this season.
