West Ham are reportedly aiming to extend Jarrod Bowen’s contract in response to Liverpool’s interest in signing the forward, as reported by Liverpool Echo.
The 26-year-old has a contract with West Ham at the London Stadium that runs until the summer of 2025. Nevertheless, the Hammers are actively seeking to secure the winger’s long-term commitment, especially with Liverpool showing interest in him.
The Reds view Bowen as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah. Given the Egytpain winger’s growing appeal to the Saudi Pro League, if he does depart next year, Liverpool will need to find a replacement.
Although the Merseyside club has shown an interest in Bowen, it remains uncertain whether they will pursue him. While the English star’s statistics are not on par with Salah’s, he could potentially be a suitable addition to Jurgen Klopp’s industrious squad.

The experienced attacker is currently valued at £33 million, but given his consistent performance in the Premier League over the years, it wouldn’t be surprising if David Moyes’ team demanded a huge transfer fee for their star player.
When Liverpool signed Salah in the summer of 2017 from Fiorentina, there were not high expectations for the Egyptian international due to his previous disappointing stint in England with Chelsea.
However, the 31-year-old quickly surpassed all expectations and has become a vital component of Liverpool’s recent achievements.
Over the past two summer transfer windows, Liverpool have seen the departure of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
These two players, alongside Salah, formed a potent attacking trio that played a crucial role in Liverpool’s successes, including winning the Champions League and Premier League.

The Reds have undergone significant changes in their attacking lineup, with the signings of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo. This suggests that they possess sufficient attacking quality even in the event of Salah’s departure.
However, it is possible that Klopp will seek a direct replacement for Salah when the time comes for him to leave. In this context, Bowen appears to be a promising option due to his experience in both European and Premier League football.
