Former striker-turned-pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that Liverpool made the best summer signing by acquiring Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
Liverpool, aiming for a strong season after a disappointing one, revamped their midfield with four new signings, including Szoboszlai, whom they secured for £60 million by triggering his release clause.
Szoboszlai has made a promising impact at Liverpool, contributing to their five wins out of six games in the Premier League this season.

Agbonlahor highlights the Hungarian starlet’s impressive speed, a rare quality for a midfielder, as a key asset. He views Szoboszlai as one of the standout signings of the summer.
The pundit also suggests that Liverpool, with their strong squad, can challenge Arsenal and Manchester City for the Premier League title this season if they address their defensive issues.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said:
“I think Liverpool can definitely challenge Arsenal and Man City. Their squad looks very good at the moment. Defensively, that’s the only question for me at the moment.”
“Szoboszlai has been one of the signings of the summer. I can’t believe how quick he is for a central midfielder, it’s frightening. He’s very good technically, very high energy.”
Szoboszlai is a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s high-pressing style of play. He demonstrates a strong work rate when the team doesn’t have possession, boasts impressive speed, and possesses the ability to create scoring opportunities for the attackers.
The former Bundesliga ace’s performances for Liverpool in the initial games have been impressive, and he has shown potential to become a key figure in Liverpool’s midfield in the future.
