Norwich face a fight to keep their emerging youngster Jon Rowe following the attacker’s goalscoring debut for England Under-21s on Thursday night.
Rowe has scored seven goals in 13 games for the Canaries so far this season and is fast building a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents outside the top-flight.
The 20-year-old added to his growing notoriety after coming off the bench to make his bow for England U21s, scoring within minutes of his introduction in a 9-1 win over Serbia.
And his performances are attracting attention from Premier League teams, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace among the sides believed to be monitoring his progress ahead of the next two transfer windows.
Rowe currently has just over 18 months left on his current deal at Carrow Road, although there is an option to extend that by a further year.

The Canaries are understandably keen on securing Rowe to a longer contract with a view to protecting their asset but also rewarding the attacker for his performances.
Talks over a new deal are understood to be underway, but at an early stage.
However, Norwich’s hopes of tempting Rowe into signing fresh terms are set to be complicated by growing interest from top-flight teams.
Norwich would look to recoup a minimum £20million for Rowe if they decided to sell.
The youngster is fully focused on Norwich’s Championship campaign with the aim of firing the team’s push for promotion.
Nevertheless, Premier League clubs will continue to monitor Rowe’s progress over the coming weeks with a view to luring him away from Carrow Road.
Rowe has already played in the Premier League, making 13 appearances for the Norwich during their 2021/22 relegation season.
His progress last season was disrupted by an ankle injury, but he has hit the ground running this term.
Under-21s head coach Lee Carsley hailing Rowe as one of his players with confidence and form
Upon selecting Rowe for the Under-21s, head coach Lee Carsley said: ‘I like him a lot. He’s a player who is in form along with Jaden Philogene,’ said Carsely.
‘They’re full of confidence and it gives players that aren’t involved in England teams a bit of hope because our recruitment and scouting is massive.
‘There are no players not being watched. The fact that Jonathan Rowe has come through now in a different way is a testament to him and to Norwich.
‘They’ve given him an opportunity to play and he’s played well. I’ve been very impressed with him.’
