According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are expressing interest in acquiring the services of Algeria international Rayan Ait-Nouri from fellow Premier League club Wolves.
Ait-Nouri moved to Wolves in 2021 for an estimated £10 million after initially joining on loan from Ligue One side Angers.
While the 22-year-old has experienced changes in his playing time in recent seasons, he has now solidified his position as his club’s key left-back under manager Gary O’Neil.
Wolves have exceeded expectations under the management of Gary O’Neil despite grabbing the least points.
Ait-Nouri, having made 12 appearances, has been a standout performer for the team, currently positioned 12th in the Premier League table.

Liverpool are facing a shortage of options at left-back due to Andy Robertson’s injury, with the Scotland international expected to be out until the New Year after dislocating his shoulder.
While Kostas Tsimikas has seen increased playing time in Robertson’s absence, the Reds may explore the possibility of signing a young left-back who could eventually succeed the 29-year-old.
Ait-Nouri is reportedly attracting interest from multiple clubs as the next transfer window approaches. The Merseyside club is among the contenders for his signature and is reportedly in frequent contact with the defender.
The African ace’s performances suggest he has the potential to make a move to a higher-profile club, making his situation one to monitor in the coming weeks and months.

Currently, it appears that Wolves may not be inclined to part ways with their key player easily. Any potential move might be postponed until the next summer transfer window, and the cost of signing the player remains uncertain.
Liverpool, having experienced success with the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves previously, might be aiming to replicate that achievement with Ait-Nouri in the future.
