According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have reportedly started talks with highly-rated center-back Lucas Beraldo for a potential £20m transfer in the upcoming January window.
The Reds have been actively pursuing the 19-year-old Sao Paulo talent, with negotiations progressing to an in-person meeting following a recent match.
Acknowledging the need to strengthen the left-sided center-back position, the Merseyside club aims to make a move in January if an agreement on the transfer fee is reached.
Liverpool considers Beraldo not only as a promising addition to their squad but also as an eligible player for European competitions next year, adding an extra layer of appeal.

The club aims to swiftly conclude the deal to preempt potential competitors and avoid entering a bidding war for the talented 19-year-old defender.
Beraldo, who emerged from Sao Paulo’s youth system, secured his place in the first team in the summer of 2022, amassing 47 appearances for the Brazilian side.
His experience in the Brazilian Serie A and notable performances in the Copa Libertadores has increased his value.
Klopp’s team is looking forward to improve their defensive line this season after conceding 10 goals in the opening 11 games.
They lead their Europa League group with two games left and have advanced to the League Cup quarterfinals. The addition of the South American youngster could strengthen their defensive options and provide depth.
