Romelu Lukaku grabbed 4 first half goals for Belgium last night to once and for all prove that his scoring boots are on. It put him on 14 goals in qualifying for his country – pipping Cristiano Ronaldo at the last and breaking all the records in the final game.
Things are going a lot better this season than last, and it’s easy to forget that it’s little 12 months since he was at the World Cup missing some horror chances and reaching what proved to be his real low point.
The rollercoaster in terms of headlines hasn’t ceased since, but his performances this season are a grade above where they were, and we’re very confident Roma will buy him at the conclusion of this campaign for a fee that we can agree with.
Their next games see them take on Udinese, Sassuolo and Fiorentina, and we’d back Lukaku to score a couple more in this form.
