good morning!!
It’s been at least a month since we last checked in on Trending Up / Trending Down.
Here’s a quick rundown, you cool cats: It’s simple. If a player is doing well or having a couple good weeks, they trend up. If not? Well, down ya go. And this doesn’t even have to be a player.
Trending Up:
Giovani Lo Celso: From outcast to undroppable? Gio has started the last three matches for Spurs, scoring in two of them.
He provides some much-needed creativity with the absence of James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur. Let’s hope this continues.
Jamie Donley: There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Jamie Donley lately. And that finally came to a head when he made his senior debut for Spurs against Man City on Sunday.
Teams above Tottenham: This is what happens when you are winless in your last five games.
Last we checked in, Spurs were sitting atop the table. Now? Four teams sit above them.
Trending Down:
Cristian Romero: A goal is great. But he got himself sent off against Chelsea and suspended for three games.
It was obvious how much the team missed him. He can’t be doing that.
Holding onto leads: That’s five games now where Tottenham have scored first but have not won a game. That’s 15 points from winning positions. Out of that Spurs have claimed one.
