It is rather incredible how quickly Aleksandar Pavlović has broken through into Bayern Munich’s first team squad under head coach Thomas Tuchel’s watchful eye.
It is pertinent to remember that he suffered with fitness concerns early on in the season, forcing him to lose momentum and causing him to lose progress. Unfazed, Pavlović managed to regain full fitness and, with just four starts in the Regionalliga his total experience in adult football, he managed to seamlessly fit into Bayern’s star studded squad. Fittingly, Bayern immediately rewarded him with an improved contract that ran until 2027.
But Pavlović’s rise did not end there, with the rising star somehow solidifying himself as a crucial member of the first team and semi regular starter in the months that followed. And if reports are to be believed, it seems that the youngster could be rewarded for that continued improvement with a second contract extension in less than a year.
According to Bild reporter Tobi Altschäffl, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, “Aleksandar Pavlović is expected to extend his contract at FC Bayern beyond 2027 in the near future” due to club’s big wigs wanting to “reward” Pavlovic for his impressive performances this season.
With Bayern looking to a potential squad overhaul in the summer, it is important for the club to pick the players it wants to bet the future on. Though it may have already been fairly obvious, this report is yet another layer of confirmation: Pavlović is here to stay.
