Man United have been given some welcome news, with Casemiro back in Man United training following injury.
Manchester United have been inconsistent all season long. Erik ten Hag just cannot get a tune out of these players with any regularity. he has to be held culpable for the majority of that, though he has lost players through injury. That hasn’t helped either.
Casemiro has been sidelined since October. Although the Brazilian wasn’t playing his best football before going down with an issue, it feels clear to me that United are still better with him in the side.
Well, there has been a welcome boost on that front, as the key man has now been pictured back in training. Along with the photos, the club confirmed on their website that the ex-Real Madrid man ‘steps up recovery’ following the injury.
How long it will be before Casemiro is ready to return to the field remains to be seen, though to see that he is back in training is welcome news.

Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen are both injured. Donny van de Beek isn’t good enough. Bruno Fernandes is banned for the Liverpool game. If there’s any way Casemiro can get back for that, it could be massive. If not, the Reds’ midfield pretty much picks itself; Kobbie Mainoo, Sofyan Amrabat, Scott McTominay. That’s just not good enough for these types of matches.
United could use Casemiro’s experience, expertise and winning mentality right about now. The performance against Bournemouth was probably the worst of the season – and that’s saying something given some of the atrocious displays we’ve been forced to watch this term.
Hopefully, we see him back out on the pitch sooner rather than later.
