Last season’s sixth-place finish in the Premier League was Brighton’s highest-ever position at the end of a campaign in the top flight.
The goal this season will be to try and build upon that and break into the top four, which would earn qualification into the UEFA Champions League.
With seven wins and five draws from their opening 16 games, Brighton have made a solid start to the season. They are within touching distance of the top four, but the Seagulls will need to have a positive run of results over the festive period and into the new year to keep up with their rivals.
Goals Not a Problem for the Seagulls
Brighton are 13/1 in the football betting to finish in the top four this season, and if they continue to score goals at the rate they are doing, they will have a great chance of finishing in the Champions League positions.
The Seagulls are often one of the best football tips for today, particularly at the Amex Stadium. They have scored 33 goals through their opening 16 matches this season, with only Manchester City (38), Liverpool (36) and Aston Villa (35) scoring more in that period.

Unlike some teams in the Premier League, Brighton are not reliant on one player to find the back of the net. There have been 12 different goalscorers in the Premier League this season. That will have pleased head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi Linked with New Contract
There could be further good news for Brighton fans this season as De Zerbi has been linked with a new contract. The Italian, who was named manager in September 2022, has Brighton fans excited about what his side can achieve in the future.
De Zerbi has received high praise from the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, two managers who have had a lot of glory in the Premier League and Europe. They both consider the Brighton man to be one of the brightest head coaches in the league.
“I work to be happy and to enjoy it, and I feel very good here.”

The former Shakhtar Donetsk and Sassuolo boss has stated how happy he is at the Amex Stadium, despite interest from elsewhere, so if a new deal can be reached, it will be a huge boost for everybody at the club.
European Adventure to Contend with Too
The other challenge Brighton are faced with this season is European football. The Seagulls have reached the knockout play-off round of the UEFA Europa League at the very least.
If they can beat Marseille in the final group game in the competition, they will advance directly through to the last 16.
Brighton are considered to be one of the main contenders for the Europa League title this season. Their style of football has gone down well in Europe, with wins already coming against Ajax and AEK Athens.
Hopefully, Brighton fans are left celebrating once again at the end of the campaign. A top-four finish and some silverware would be a great way to cap off the season.
