And the former England international left Liverpool shellshocked inside 90 seconds when found the top corner after Virgil van Dijk failed to clear his lines properly.
And Arsenal fans took to social media to hail Welbeck for denting the Reds’ title hopes as their side seek to win their first league title in 20 years.

Liverpool equalised just before the half hour mark through Diaz, who flicked the ball home for his seventh Premier League goal of the season.
A win for Liverpool will send them to the summit of the table ahead of the showdown between Arsenal and Manchester City.
