Bayern Munich are “willing to sell” Manchester City target Joshua Kimmich to prevent him from leaving for nothing next year, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The 29-year-old has a year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and it’s becoming increasingly likely that he won’t put pen to paper on an extension.
Most fans on X are hoping that Pep Guardiola’s side can snap up Kimmich for a bargain price this summer:
£25M or we sign him for free next summer

I wonder what fee we could get him for give he’s 29 with 12 months left on his deal 🤔

I hope man city tries to get him. Very versatile player, can give Rodri a rest, play with him or as a rb, has quality, has creativity, already played for Pep, he has it all and wouldn’t be expensive. Perfect transfer.

Kimmich is perfect for City right now, he already knows Pep’s system and he can cover for both Rodri and Walker, with one year left on his contract City could bring in an incredible player for cheap, it’s a must signing imo.

Kimmich is only interested in signing for 5 teams
It is believed that the German international is hoping to sign for one of five clubs if he leaves Bayern. City are among the options, along with Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
While a transfer fee may not be an issue, Kimmich’s wage demands could prove to be problematic. He is reportedly earning €20m a year (£325,000 a week) at Bayern.
Will City make a move for the player?
Guardiola is known to be a big fan of Kimmich, having worked with him in his final season as manager at Bayern back in 2015/16.
The Cityzens may also need some cover in midfield, with Kalvin Phillips set to be sold if the club receive a satisfactory offer. It is definitely a deal to keep an eye on.
