Just a couple of days ago, a report came out from kicker reporter Frank Linkesch that claimed Kim Min-jae would be allowed to leave Bayern Munich this summer.
Now, a report has come out that claims rather the opposite, as Tz reporters Philipp Kessler and Manuel Bonke report, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, that both Max Eberl and Bayern’s management “are planning with Kim Min-jae next season.” The player himself wants to stay and prove himself next season after a season that fell off the tracks after the Asia Cup.
BFW Analysis
Having joined from SSC Napoli for a reported fee of between €42 and €50 million, it is not a surprise that Bayern do not want to abandon this player at the first sign of trouble, especially as he was seen as one of the best center-backs in the world just two seasons ago.
However, this is yet another report in a long line of reports from different media outlets that contradict each other on the future of Bayern Munich’s center-backs, leaving Bayern fans perplexed on what the future of these players will truly be. Undoubtedly, there will be more such reports as the summer rages on. It is going to be a very bumpy ride.
