Today Leicester proudly presented their new home kit for the upcoming season. The shirt looks smashing and with the new sponsor in transparent white, with the original badge, we do feel the club has done well in pleasing supporters. You can buy the shirt at the fanstore from opening hours today or if you like buy it online.
Players will return to pre-season training on Monday. Players involved in international games during June, will possibly come back at a later date, but most certainly in the camp when the team and new manager Steve Cooper flies out to Switzerland for a camp as well as a few pre-season friendlies.
News regarding the transfer of Abdul Fatawu and a new contract agreement for Wilfred Ndidi are not shown in any of the recent picture updates from the club, showing players under contract and others recently having agreed new deals.
We certainly hope the move for Abdul Fatawu will go through, with more concern regarding Wilfred Ndidi, none of them present at this time. Both players have been on international duty in June, so we just have to wait for them to turn up, with hope of seeing them both back.
The squad looks very unfinished at this point, with a lot of different ideas on how this all will be composed. We will possibly see a number of youngsters also taking part when returning on Monday. This is of course a usual situation as the next two to three weeks will be a journey of different matters to be solved.
There are of course a lot of guessing regarding the preferred system to play under Steve Cooper and how he will bring in players to adjust this to the possible best, waiting for tall number of new players to appear, to replace all departures so far.
At this point we do believe that a new central defender looks to be on his way in, an offensive midfielder, hopefully a new top forward alternative, with possibly one, maybe two flank players to join. We are waiting with excitement as our list of hot, cool and cold rumours fills up of potential candidates.
We have seen different updates regarding Abdul Fatawu, and nothing else than him joining is what we believe will happen, but surely no confirmation and no photo of him at this point, as new shirts are all seen on photographs of other players.
